Ghana Food Celebrated At The Ayewa Festival

It can now be said on authority that the AYEWA FESTIVAL is Ghana’s most authentic food event that ignites our culture, our heritage and indeed revives our tradition as a people, identifying our indigenous way of eating as it celebrates us through great dishes Made In Ghana and eaten in the Ayewa Bowl.
The beautiful event, organized by Creative Republic, took place on Farmers day, Friday 5th December, 2025. It was a sight to behold as it merged Good Food, Good Music, Great excitement and a beautiful atmosphere of unending fun amidst wonderful performances and genuine tradition.
Beginning the event was a well delivered speech by Mr.Eric Ohene Larbi, the Regional Director of the Center for National Culture, who opened the event officially with a highlight on the significance of remembering our roots, celebrating Ghanaian Farmers, promoting our food culture and the importance of the Ayewa Festival as it plays a key role on Governments great Black Star Experience initiative on projecting Tourism in Ghana and beyond.
The Ayewa Festival displayed delicious cuisines like Fufu, Banku, Omo Tuo, Tuo-Zaafi, Jollof and many wonderful meals that made the numerous patrons of the event enjoy the true heritage of Ghanaian food eaten in Ayewa.
“The Ayewa Festival goes Bi-Annual and as we have enjoyed and had the best experience today in Accra, we will do something bigger in Kwahu during the coming 2026 Easter Festivities at Boatemaa’s Place in Obomeng; expect 3 Days of Back to Back celebration of Ghanaian cuisines on the Mountains. ” said by Dennis Boateng, the Creative Director of The Creative Republic.
The 2025 edition of the Ayewa Festival was proudly supported by Evivi Foods, providing all the Rice, Chicken and Soy Oil to prepare the sweet dishes, Bel Aqua refreshing patrons with free water and Minimie Astomo with some sweet after meals bites.
