Omo Marani thrills Hogbetsotso Festival with 2nd successful “Keta To The World Concert”, hosts Larruso, CollinWud Artistes, Others
Like a new pop culture within tradition, “Keta To The World Concert” is fast gaining grounds as an annual festival in Keta many revellers have come to accept.
Powered by CollinWud, a Team of hardworking but young talents from the Volta Region of Ghana, with Omo Marani as their frontline man, they held their 2nd successful edition of the concert which pulled over 5,000 audiences on Friday, November 3, 2023.
This year’s edition was again headlined by Omo Marani himself with Larruso as the Major Guest Artiste. The show which staged in between the Keta Post Office and Keta ECG Station was full of glee; running from 9:00pm into the early hours of the next day, at 3:45am, the show still lingers on the minds of many who attended.
DJ Duka, the Official Jock began his set with back to back hits along with DJ Rawny before performs listed for the night took their turns one after the other.
CollinWud Artistes – Corzzy Blaque, Mediq Mane, El Jolaliii, Jah Throne, Tungbani just to name a few gave their best with songs from their knapsack. Mprez Ody, Sela Ice – buzzing new female Dancehall/Afrobeats Acts rising to the top brought their A-game to the stage to match the energy from their male counterparts.
Omo Marani later brought the fun part when he finally came on stage with his ‘herculean’ shoes and served songs from his stable back to back before later introducing Larruso.
Larruso had a fun-filled time digging into his hit songs which surprisingly had Voltarians singing along word for word as he performed. Other artistes who had the chance to perform are VimBoss Bakteria, Tommy Slime, Kofi Bright, Senator etc.
MC Flexal had a good run of the show too from start to finish with a smooth connect between him and the DJs and the crowd as well; he has been at the forefront of this for a while.
“Keta To The World Concert” comes to add to the new pop-fest among the Youths which also helps promote the much historic Hogbetsotso Festival celebrated by the Anlo Communities in Southern Volta. The Concert has given a good leveraging for budding artistes to showcase their talent and also build their network with fans, the media and business owners. The show returns next year during same time as the Hogbetsotso Festival.
