Ghanaian Rapper and singer Coded of 4X4 has revealed that the constant release of hits songs by Shatta Wale within weeks of his come back caused their split from Group to Solo.
He made this revelation in an interview with Larry Bozzlz host of Time With The Stars on C TV on Tuesday, May 17.
“I think it would basically be the fact that that was the era where a lot of singles was coming from Shatta. He was releasing countless hits records so that putting every musician on their toes, like you are working but you are not working enough you need to work extra hard to meet up to that level and for it’s good when it’s a healthy competition. So we decided that we need to do our Solo projects then when we add it to our group project it will fly.” he fumed
He also disclosed that the “Abodie” hitmaker Captain Planet has blocked him for a reason best known to only him but he is still cool.
“He still blocked and I have not reached out to him because that is his personal decision, he blocked me but his wife did not block me we still follow each other.”
Coded further disclosed that before releasing the song, he had reached out to Afia through Fred Nuamah to inform her about his song but not to ask her to help him make his song fly or popular and also revolted against the allegations that he paid a sum of $20,000
“She said she charged me $20,000? No, that wasn’t the conversation. The conversation was for her to know that I had used a word that came from her. Dada Damoase, it came from her. Out of respect, I placed a call to my senior brother Fred Nuamah to get in touch with her for me. So yes I agree that I called her, and that was the conversation,” Coded clarified.
