Nana Yaw Boateng, popularly known in the music circles as Nana NYC, is a U.S based Ghanaian artiste making huge waves in the entertainment business throughout the world.
The artiste who has been in the game for over two decade said he’s not perturbed for not being recognized by either 3 Music or VGMA.
According to Nana NYC, he is not bothered by the Ghanaian awards scheme but will be hurt if awards schemes in USA doesn’t recognize his input to the growth of their industry.
“ I’m running my game in New York and I am not really bothered about Ghana, I will be alarmed if my songs are getting rotation airplay in Ghana and I’m not nominated”, Nana NYC said in a video sighted.
The artiste also poured out his willingness to get his music featured on 3 music platforms and other Ghanaian music platforms.

This is as a result of some Foreign based Ghanaian artiste talking about how these prestigious awards schemes are sidelining them regardless of their enormous efforts.
In 2003, Nana NYC experienced his first stage performance at the Miss Ghana New York pageant at Herbert H. Lehman College. After his initial performance, Nana NYC became a well known performer in the Tri State area, and locked in the name “Nana NYC”, which was first showcased on his MYSPACE page. Today, Nana NYC, who is influenced by a variety of music ranging from late 1990s hip-hop artistes.
